Job Summary

A well-established legal services organization in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a busy business and civil litigation practice. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys high-level case management, discovery, trial preparation, and working closely with attorneys throughout the full litigation lifecycle.

The Litigation Paralegal will join a professional, collaborative litigation team that values organization, accuracy, client service, and strong communication. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex matters in a supportive environment with experienced attorneys, dependable legal support resources, and a team-focused approach to case strategy and execution.

This is a strong fit for a paralegal who is confident managing deadlines, preparing filings, coordinating discovery, supporting trial teams, and contributing to a high-performing legal practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Support attorneys through all stages of business and civil litigation, including intake, discovery, trial preparation, hearings, depositions, mediations, and case resolution.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, subpoenas, discovery requests, discovery responses, and related case materials.
- Manage discovery processes, including organizing, coding, indexing, producing, and maintaining documents in paper and electronic formats.
- Conduct legal research and prepare written analysis of statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, legal articles, and other legal sources for attorney review.
- Coordinate trial and arbitration logistics, including exhibits, witness files, deposition transcripts, vendors, workspace, remote office needs, and client-related resources.
- Maintain accurate case files, case management spreadsheets, e-filing records, and litigation support materials while meeting billable hour and productivity expectations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday.
- Hybrid work eligibility after 90 days, with 2 work-from-home days per week.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support attorneys with business and civil litigation matters from case intake through trial.
- Manage discovery, document production, case files, legal filings, and litigation support systems.
- Prepare legal documents, research summaries, exhibits, witness materials, and trial preparation resources.
- Coordinate court filings, administrative agency filings, e-filings, trial logistics, and arbitration support.

- Paralegal Certificate or Degree, or a minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant litigation paralegal experience preferred based on role level, with strong hands-on litigation support background.
- Significant experience supporting business litigation and/or civil litigation matters.
- Strong knowledge of Florida court procedures, U.S. District Court procedures, electronic discovery, and litigation processes.
- Experience with discovery management, subpoenas, pleadings, motions, deposition preparation, trial preparation, and litigation document production.
- Proficiency with e-discovery databases, litigation support software, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic case file management.
- Experience with court filings, administrative agency filings, and e-filing systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong legal writing, proofreading, and document review abilities.
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, time management, confidentiality, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, clients, legal assistants, file clerks, vendors, and other legal professionals.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced legal environment and be available for overtime and travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience working in a billable-hours legal environment.
- Prior experience supporting trial teams in complex business, commercial, or civil litigation matters.
- Experience coordinating trial or arbitration logistics, including exhibits, vendors, remote workspaces, and witness materials.
- Advanced familiarity with litigation support platforms, e-discovery workflows, and document management best practices.
